NEWS FROM MARCH 2020
On March 18th, in response to the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), for the safety of our community, as well as our staff & volunteers, we began serving to-go meals from our kitchen door entrance. Throughout the weeks, our breakfast numbers have remained relatively steady, while our lunch numbers have increased by about 25% with about 20-25 children.
We are no longer requesting patrons to sign-in; instead, we are checking them in to minimize contact. Palm Beach County also brought a portable hand washing stand allowing people to wash their hands before eating, which has been a much better solution than solely using hand sanitizer.
We are so grateful that all staff and volunteers have remained faithful to serve. We are all wearing masks and gloves, as well as taking extra time to clean and sanitize. Feeding South Florida Food Bank, as well as local farmers, continue to provide us with food deliveries and generous donations of fresh produce. As always, we thank you for your continued support, and kindly ask that you keep us in your prayers.
